HALLOWEEN DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON
Travel back to Bavaria in the year 1901 to visit the humble toy shop, Otto’s, where a world-changing incident has occurred. A young toy inventor has created what will become a huge phenomenon, but he’s been knocked back before he can begin – the grumpy shop owner won’t stock it!
It’s up to you to sneak into the toy shop at night and place the toy into the shop window. The sales will start flooding in and prove the toy a success, so we can all enjoy it for decades to come! …if you succeed.
This game will have two seasons. You can choose to travel back to the night of October 31st for an eerie adventure (Book Otto’s at Halloween, dates to be announced soon), or the night of December 10th for a visit full of Christmas cheer (Book Otto’s at Christmas, running between 15th November – 14th January). The challenges within your mission will be the same whichever night you choose to visit Bavaria.
This game requires at least one person in the team to be able to crawl through a low opening. Give us a call if you have any questions about this.
The Halloween season of this game features an eerie atmosphere with small jumps and some dark periods. It is not a full-on scary game and does not feature horror, being trapped or unexpected visits from live actors. You can leave the experience at any time and also re-enter.

What is a Versus Escape Game?
Otto’s is Reading’s only versus escape room experience. This means you can go head-to-head against friends, family or colleagues, adding a bit of friendly competition to your escape proceedings. We have built two identical rooms, with a 2-5 person capacity in each and, when versus mode is chosen, includes elements of interactivity and competition between the two. To play as a head-to-head, simply book Otto’s, Room 1 and Room 2 for the same time. As with all of our experiences, a member of staff is assigned to each individual room and pricing is priced per person, per room.
Don’t fancy this? Don’t worry, Otto’s has also been designed to be played as a stand-alone game, with the versus elements removed. Just book your team into either Room 1 or Room 2 and you won’t be playing against anyone else.
